Stacked Stone Cellars began in 1998 when owner Donald Thiessen united his love of fine craftsmanship to his love of WineMaking. With a reputation of the finest woodwork available, Donald knows the commitment it takes to create a world class product. Stacked Stone was named after the elaborate stacked stone landscaping adorning the grounds where his wines are made. Donald has worked closely with many well known growers in the Paso Robles region to produce grapes capable of creating world class wines. Stacked Stone Cellars has worked to produce some of the finest grapes from the Paso Robles appellation.
Donald took advantage of his westside Paso Robles soils and climate by planting an old world head pruned dry-land farmed Estate Zinfandel Vineyard. Producing a highly concentrated low yield fruit. Stacked Stone begain its first commercial vintage in 2002 with nearly 1000 cases. Amoung the world-class grapes produced at Stacked Stone are the award winning Zinfandel grapes. Although Stacked Stone's focus is Zinfandel, some of the other warm climate verietals produced include: Rhohe Blends. Bordeaux Blends, Cabernet Sauvignon , Merlot, Syrah, Petite Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and two different styles of Port's
Nestled within our surrounding vineyards and rolling hills is our beautiful ancient oak studded dinning area and tasting room. We offer a perfect location for any special event including dinner events, weddings, birthdays, or any venue of your choice.

Every week"end, owner and winemaker Donald Thiessen personally welcomes you to the winery as he pours for you his award wining wine. He is known as the "character" around town and will surely have you in stitches with his cowboy style and humor. He enjoys making new friends, listening to live music, trips to the lake, and sharing his fine wine.
Donald grew up on an avocado ranch in Ventura and moved to the Paso Robles area 35 years ago with his family. His dream was to find a place to raise his children and become an active part of a small, growing community. Paso was the perfect place! Over the years he raised two children, developed Peachy Canyon Wood works and Thiessen Construction, and became a well-known cowboy in town.
He is involved in the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce, The Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance, the Paso Robles Main Street Association, and the Paso Robles Trail Riders.
He has also become very active in "SASS", the Single Action Shooting Society that was created to preserve and promote the sport of Cowboy Action Shooting.

Week day travelers are welcome by appointment.
Stacked Stone Cellars offers tastings of current releases. Tasting is complimentary with a purchase. Enjoy the cool ambiance of our tasting room while you learn about our specific vineyard to bottle approach. As you taste our delectable wines you can look around to the barrels that are gently ripening our next vintages.
Once you leave our tasting room, please plan to enjoy the beautiful picnic areas under the shade of the giant oak trees.
